The special summer opening of the Taiko-mon Gate

  • DetailsTaiko-mon Gate was built in 1595 (Bunroku Era 4th year) . Drum Tower was also built on the stone wall which is located on the north side of Drum Gate, and acted as a signal of the time, visitors to the castle, and fire.
    Drum Gate was renovated in March 1999 and is open to the public 3 times a year in April, July, and October.

  • DetailsWhen the sunset colors the mountains of the Northern Alps red, the bonfire lighting ceremony is held at Honmaru Garden.In a way that is only possible with outdoor performances of Noh, a sense of unity is felt between the performers and the spectators.Please enjoy the summer night that presents the traditional Japanese performing art of Noh.
